Mr White began his career in the construction industry in 1959, at the age of 14, as an apprentice bricklayer. It took five years of heavy lifting, scorching sun, and long hours to become a qualified bricklayer. Falling back on the same can-do attitude that earned him a solid career as an untried teenager, Mr White eventually moved on from bricklaying to establish and run his own company.

Mr White has grown Francis White Constructions into a substantial success along with the help of three sons. Today, two of them are at the helm of the affair, with Ben Francis acting as General Manager and Dean Francis working as Senior Project Manager.

The Brisbane-based family business specializes in a wide variety of sectors, including government, residential, commercial, and industrial, and boasts an annual turnover of over $15 million. Ben Francis benefits from his father’s wisdom and decades of experience, but has certainly earned a solid place within the industry himself. The Acting Director studied construction management at Queensland University of Technology and gained experience working for other construction companies before returning to the company he had spent many hours supporting on weekends.

Francis White Constructions takes on projects valued as low as $100,000 all the way up to $15 million. Delivery and management is flexible to suit each project, and includes design and construct, hard-dollar tendering, lump sum contracts, construction management and cost-plus contracts.

Although the team deals with construction primarily, they are also experienced developers. The company is well versed in both initial site selection and design and development. These skills have been successfully applied to a number of projects, including Victoria Point Shores Mixed Use development, Capo Di Monte development, and Pickering Street townhouse development. The team continues to expand and refine their development capabilities.
