From Cancun to Can-Do

Environmentally, 2011 is shaping to be an interesting year – in the sense of the ancient Confucian curse, “may you live in interesting times”. Though the noise of the Cancun Climate Change Summit has been muted compared to 2009’s Copenhagen shindig, delegates will have made a renewed effort to agree on funds and approaches to preserve rainforests and prepare for a hotter world, and to formalise existing targets to curb greenhouse gas emissions.
